Z Tac Replica SORDIN headset

I bought one of the Sordin replica headsets. It's not bad, it fulfills it's role without breaking the bank. Sound amplification function works great, noise deadening for sounds over 80db also works well. The only issue i had with mine was finding a decent Chinese PTT, so i just went out and bought a real one off ebay for like $75. and it works great. I would recommend doing the real Sordin gel ear cup mod, as they get fairly uncomfortable after wearing them for more than 20 minutes. Other than that, definitely something i would recommend in if you're looking for comms/hearing protection all in one.

Do they shut off after 5 minutes of no use like alot of the chinese brands?

I personally just sent several pairs back to the place I bought mine from they were advertised as unused German Military surplus. For 89$ they each came with a ptt. However upon getting them I was disgusted to find out they were the Chinese versions. Had to send them all back as well as yell at the company I bought them from as I already had buyers lined up to buy legit MSA Sordins. The ptt's were so shitty they could not even hold in the plug from the headset.

I can't vouch for the Sordins, but I got one of the Z Tac Comtac I's in and I've been happy with it so far. Going to use it this weekend at RPC and will try and get a gear review on it later.
